Dragonflies

There are a high number of varieties of Dragonflies recorded at the pond which shows its ecological value, although none of the varieties are particularly rare in Norfolk the sheer variety makes Selbrigg Pond an ideal place to go dragonfly spotting.

In addition to the dragonflies around the pond there is also a relatively large population of damselflies (commonly confused with dragonflies).
